In 2008 M7 became the first European Partner to develop Ecosystem Alliances under the ISI/ISR Programme.
The programme was designed as a teaming process, bringing together ISVs with industry application solutions (ISRs) and partners with services capability around systems integration and global infrastructure deployment (ISIs).
The initial engagement defines the target infrastructure for the application to be deployed on. This is typically a server/storage/operating system combination that can be marketed as an appliance based solution. Small, medium and large variants are often designed and tested prior to release, making both sales and marketing and post deployment support easier.
These appliance based solutions can then be marketed globally by the ISV and their channel with each deployment going through the same build, test, stage, customise, deliver and install mode with M7 every time.
M7 handles international delivery and export documentation and each appliance is covered by in-country customer engineering support. Through the programme, we have delivered to countries all across the world, including India, Nepal, Egypt, Germany, Poland, Belgium, USA and Argentina.
Market segments were originally those where national market opportunities were limited to a few large players, such as Telecommunications and TV. This is now changing, with Financial Services, Health and Manufacturing solution providers now using the programme.
In addition to the benefit of teaming, ISVs are able to consolidate their infrastructure spend into the UK, emphasising their importance to the hardware vendor and benefitting from advantageous pricing models associated with the programme.
This approach also offers ISVs the opportunity to move their future deployment method to a cloud based model with M7’s Hybrid Managed Cloud providing both global reach and managed service based SLAs.
